Use Kiro AI with Claude or Cursor

Connect an MCP-compatible assistant with an agent key, then review its drafts in Kirora.

Connect Claude, Cursor or another MCP-compatible assistant to read workspace results and draft campaigns, templates, segments and journeys. Restricted agent keys cannot send or activate work. Your team reviews the drafts and authorises actions in Kirora.

What you need

  • An owner or admin to create an agent key: a restricted key just for AI assistants.
  • An assistant that supports MCP, the standard way AI assistants connect to other tools. Claude and Cursor both do.

Setting up the connection takes a few minutes and involves copying a key and a short piece of configuration. If that’s not something you’re comfortable with, share the agents setup guide with whoever looks after your tools.

Set it up

  1. Go to Developer › Agent access.
  2. Choose Create agent key and pick what it may read and draft. Copy the key: it’s shown only once.
  3. Under Connect an agent, copy the MCP server URL and the Client configuration, and add them to your assistant. Step-by-step instructions for Claude and Cursor are in the agents setup guide.
  4. Choose Copy a starter prompt and paste it into your assistant to begin.

Use it

Ask the assistant the way you’d ask a colleague. For example: “Look at our last five campaigns and draft a win-back email for customers who haven’t ordered from Juniper Kitchen in 60 days, in the style of the one that got the most clicks.”

On a campaign, journey or template in Kirora, you can also choose Use with an agent to copy a ready-made prompt about that item to paste into your assistant.

What an agent can’t do

An agent key can read, create and edit drafts, but it can never:

  • send or schedule a campaign
  • activate a journey
  • send a transactional message or a push notification
  • add, change or delete contacts, or change their consent

Any campaign or journey an agent created or edited waits for a person to approve it before it can go out.

Approve agent work

  1. Go to Developer › Agent access and find Review agent-created work.
  2. Choose a pending item to review the complete saved campaign or journey: its content, audience or trigger.
  3. Pick one action, such as Send campaign now, Schedule campaign or Activate or resume journey, tick the box to confirm you reviewed it, and authorise it.

Only owners can authorise agent work. Templates and forms an agent made appear in the history too, ready for you to use.

Keep contact details out of the assistant

Contact names and custom fields are typed in by the public through your signup forms. If you’d rather your assistant never sees them, ask whoever sets up the connection to turn on the option that hides contact fields, described in the agents setup guide. Personalisation still works, because merge tags are filled in when the email is sent.
