# Unblock a suppressed email address

`DELETE /v1/suppressions/{id}`

Requires an API key with the `suppressions:write` scope. [About keys and scopes](/docs/api/authentication)

Admin, or a key with `suppressions:write`; never an agent key. Removes a `manual` or `imported` block, including the manual block on any contact with that address. Bounces, complaints and unsubscribes are evidence and return 409. Consent is unchanged.

## Path parameters

- `id` (string, required, uuid)

## Returns

Returns `204 No Content` with an empty body. Otherwise returns an error; [Errors](/docs/api/errors) lists every code and which to retry.
