# Delete a template

`DELETE /v1/templates/{id}`

Requires an API key with the `templates:write` scope. [About keys and scopes](/docs/api/authentication)

Deletes the template. Campaigns built from it are unaffected, since they hold their own content snapshot.

## Path parameters

- `id` (string, required, uuid)

## Returns

Returns `204 No Content` with an empty body. Otherwise returns an error; [Errors](/docs/api/errors) lists every code and which to retry.
